Phsar Leu (The Upper Market)
Phsar Leu, officially known as Phsar Leu Thom Thmey, stands as the largest market in Siem Reap and is arguably the most genuine. Situated along National Road 6, en route to Phnom Penh, it lies approximately 3 kilometers from the city center. The market is typically bustling with activity outside, primarily attracting residents in search of the best bargains. English is rarely spoken in this area.
What you can expect to find: Fresh meat, a variety of fruits and vegetables, traditional snacks, plastic goods, mobile phones and electronics, clothing, footwear, personal care items, cosmetics, and jewelry.
